ALBERT H. LA VINE
PAST INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR |
Albert H. La Vine, of Middletown, New York, USA, served a two-year
term as a director of The International Association of Lions
Clubs after his election at the association's 58th International
Convention held in Dallas, Texas, USA, June 1975.
Past Director La Vine is a retired executive of a plumbing, heating
and air
conditioning supply company.
A Lion since 1954, Past Director La Vine served as a 100% district
governor and trustee of the Lions International Foundation. He
has recorded 44 years of perfect attendance and is the recipient
of the Advancement Key, an Extension Award, six presidential
awards and the Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest honor
bestowed upon association members. He is also a Melvin Jones
Fellow.
Active in the community, he has served as a past chapter chairman
of the American Red Cross and a past chairman of trustees of
the Y.M.C.A. During World War II, he served as a photogrammetric
engineer, making maps from aerial photographs. He is also a writer
and has had 32 articles published in THE LION Magazine.
Past Director La Vine and his wife, Blanche, are the parents
of four children and the grandparents of five. |
